It has been a while since we last released an update to Retro Record Player, even so we have been busy working on it.
The biggest change we have been working on is to make it run in the background. The current version requires Retro Record Player to be open while the track is running. In the new release you will be able to select a track and while it’s playing you will be able to get on with other things on your device.

As the play will be able to run in the background we will introduce a status bar notification, i.e. the bar at the top of the device that you drag down. This notification will show what track is currently playing and allow you to open Retro Record Player up again to the track that is currently playing.
